WebAnalytix

WebAnalytix is the unique zero footprint tool that delivers data from SQL Server OLAP and Analysis Services. High grade electronic and hard copy reports are combined with free roaming access to give everyone from data analyst to Chief Executive the latest information they need, anywhere, anytime. Companion products to WebAnalytix help to build reports and grid shapes that are specific to individual users and security features ensure that only the relevant data is displayed.

WebAnalytix has been designed specifically to work through standard browser technology with no need for any client side software. This is the ideal tool for the delivery of data to field sales personnel, as a Business to Business E Commerce application and as a major component in a Corporate Portal.

WebAnalytix is built on a combination of ASP and Web Class technology. These Web Classes are made available in an SDK that enables very precise tailored Web based applications to be developed.

WebAnalytix SDK

A full range of more than 50 Web Classes are provided and these are made available on line for quick and easy development. The screen shot below shows the on line developers guide and the list of classes on the left hand side including objects to connect to cubes, show the grid, load views, display the hierarchies as tree views.

The 'Out of the Box' version has been created from the SDK.

The components of WebAnalytix SDK include...

Grid	A multi purpose Grid display offering drill up, drill down sorting, removal of items and a paging facility to speed the delivery and viewing of data. picture
Report	The contents of the grid are automatically converted to an on screen HTML report that can be printed. The report is 'Multi Dimensional' aware and will sum sections of data for extra added value. picture
Chart	A complete range of chart types and styles are created server side and a compact file sent back to the browser on the client. picture
Axis	The Axis screen allows the user to nest the Dimensions on the grid. Horizontal and Vertical icons enable the Dimension to be added to either the rows or the columns. picture
Select	The Select facility allowing Dimension Members to be selected and ordering. If the Dimension is a filter then any member can be fixed on. picture
Pivot	Pivot rotates the entire Grid through 90 degrees.
Position	Displays the fixed points in the Filter Dimensions, if Position is switched on then the Positions are also displayed in the Report.
Find	Find will search for character strings in the Dimension Member names, the names are then displayed ready for selection. picture
Views	Views of Grid shapes can be saved and recalled later. These Views which can contain 'on the fly' calculations can also be designed in ActiveAnalyst, the client side companion product to WebAnalytix.
Export	If further analysis of the data is needed client side then the information can be saved locally in Excel, Word or Text formats. Clicking the saved file name starts the appropriate package and automatically loads the file.
Notes	A note can be attached to any cell. Co-workers are alerted to the presence of a note with an icon and the note can be read or amended. picture
Options	Options offering Report titling, drill down method and the representation of null values are included.
Help	Comprehensive HTML help screens are provided on line to make users productive as quickly as possible.
