Catalytix - the Common Assessment Tool
The electronic version of the Cambridgeshire Common Assessment Tool is now available to run on desktop, laptop or Pocket PC. The Laptop and Pocket PC versions both allow for live, field based use. The latest assessment questionnaire is downloaded using standard mobile phone technology. Where possible prescribed answers are also downloaded.
The questionnaire is completed in the person's home or at hospital and the answers can be immediately uploaded to a central location. This means a quicker more proactive response to the needs of the community
This unique software has been built using PocketAnalytix, a complete mobile application suite. The suite is authored by European Management Systems, a British company that has for the last decade been producing software that delivers and collects data that help staff make better, more informed decisions. Although PocketAnalytix has been applied to Assessment it can also deliver and update any data from any source.
The ability for PocketAnalytix to connect to a wide range of back-end databases allowed Cambridgeshire County Council to link PocketAnalytix to their existing social care system, Swift. Working closely with Anite Public Sector, EMS were able to create a seamless interface to their social care system.
