The Views Screen

Views initially listed are the pre-populated off line reports that have either been generated from Scripts by PocketAnalytix Desktop or are on-line queries that have been previously saved.

Views held off-line can be refreshed or re-synced from PocketAnalytix Desktop with the latest data or added to by going on-line. When PocketAnalytix starts the list of views that are available off-line are annotated with an icon that indicates whether it is sourced from a SQL database or an OLAP database. When going online the list will also show the views that are available from the server. When navigating a view, any data that is recalled from a remote server is cached locally on the device.

Views can be modified via any Filters that were defined when the View was designed in the Administrator module. Views can also be renamed and deleted.

Note that Views sourced from OLAP data have a cube icon and SQL sourced views have a cylinder icon.

Off line Views can be extended and server based Views navigated when a connection is established with the server. Once an On Line connection has been made Views that were created in PocketAnalytix Administrator earlier are displayed. On line Views are denoted by a dot next to the cube and cylinder icons.
